on the 2nd Monday of every Month
except in June, July & August.
ABOUT LODGE 268
The
Warrant No. 268 was first granted to Carrick-on-Suir, Co. Tipperary on
the 5th March, 1756 and subsequently cancelled about 1782.
On the
5th March, 1812 it was issued to Clonmel, Co. Tipperary and was
cancelled on the 7th February, 1833.
On the
2nd May, 1873 it was issued to Alexander Stuart, George Moore and
Henry Sikes of Limerick as Excelsior Lodge, where it
has remained ever since.
Photos show the Illuminated Testimony presented to V.W. Bro. Bruce Murray, from
Excelsior Lodge 268, Limerick. 6th January 1902 in appreciation for
his many years as Secretary. The Testimony is on display in the
Centre's Museum.
